Six circular walks to enjoy around Charlton Musgrove

Walk #1
Village Hall short walk
Start and finish at the Memorial Hall carpark. The walk takes you across quiet fields (which may be muddy in parts) and through dog-friendly stiles to Barrow Lane and Higher Stavordale Farm. Distance 1.4 miles. Time ~45 minutes.
Walk #2
Village Hall long walk
Similar to #1, but including a longer loop to the south of the B3081 taking you through the halmet of Shalford. Quiet lanes and fields (possibly muddy). Dog friendly stiles, except one. Distance 2.2 miles. Time ~1 hour, 15 mins.
Walk #3
Start and finish at St Stephen's Church. The route takes you in a south easterly loop to the village of Bayford and back. This is almost entirely across (muddy) fields and farm tracks. Distance 1.9 miles. Time 50 mins.
Walk #4
St Stephen's Church to Burton's Mill
Start and finish at St Stephen's Church. This is a circular walk to the south west of the church towards the racecourse and Burton's Mill Farm. The route is across fields and quiet tracks (which will be muddy in the wet) and through dog friendly stiles. Distance 1.7 miles. Time 45 mins.
Walk #5
St John's Church to New Park Wood
Start and finish at St John's Church in Barrow Lane. The route takes you up into the woods above Stavordale Priory and New Park Farm. The walk is mostly on tracks and forest paths, some steepish (the vertical climb is ~300 feet) and dog accessible stiles (one reportedly difficult). Distance 3.5 miles. Time 1 hour 45 mins.
Walk #6
Hunters' Lodge to Coneygore Wood
Start and finish at the Hunters' Lodge pub. This walk takes you north into the woods along the Pen Selwood ridge, where there is a well-preserved motte & bailey castle. The route is mainly on well-maintained forest tracks, some steep. The vertical climb is ~250 feet. Distance 4.0 miles. Time 2 hours 15 mins.
